Can Racism be justified?

I return to that divisive subject of racism, once again breaking my own ‘Blog Rules’.  I had promised to steer clear of these controversial topics by not volunteering my opinions.   Looks like I just can’t keep my opinions to myself or let’s say guys like Sterling keep provoking me.   It has been widely reported that the owner of LA Clippers, one Sterling made some disparaging remarks about black people in a phone call to his girl friend.  I must admit, it happening in the US and in basketball that I do not devotedly follow, I shrugged my shoulders a bit.  Then in quick succession I got to know of two other events, FC Barcelona's Dani Alves' defying stunt of eating a banana that had been thrown at him and the matter of the Ugandan Blogger who claims she was denied entry to the Irish Pub Bubbles O'leary in Kampala on the basis of the colour of her skin. Words of Wisdom to my Sons

When I read the headline ‘A gentleman is always on time and makes love on his elbows... but doesn't tweet or own a cat’ I knew someone was on to something and they immediately got my attention.   Reading the article in the Daily Mail of 23 rd April 2014 further, I got even more fascinated by the DOs and DON’Ts.   Apparently a gentleman should be at ease in any situations and put others at their ease, always on time and dress to suit the occasion, fair enough!   However, to suggest that getting occasionally drunk though never disorderly is also part of the etiquette associated with being a gentleman is rather stretching it.   Still, I wasn’t so perturbed until I came to the DON’Ts.
